Being a little hypocrite sometimes

Why you may be a little hypocrite sometimes

Ok, I guess sometimes we all don’t practice what we preach.

There comes a time in life when push comes to shove. And we get to realize that all those things we used to advice people to do in certain situations, become too complicated for us to do. I mean we get to that point where we are the actual victims of the self same circumstances. And we get to see those advises we are so used to giving like, “oh get over it” Or “oh just move on” are not exactly easy feats.

They are only easy when we’re looking at the situation from the outside and not from the very center.

Love

When it comes to love and heartbreaks, we see that it’s not always as easy as “close the door and never look back”. We see that it’s not easy to walk away from a love that has so deeply consumed us. And when we’re at the center of it all, we see that it’s not very easy to brush emotions aside.

And we get to realize that when tears well up in people’s eyes because they are heartbroken, it’s not of their own freewill. But their emotions doing what it knows how to do best.

I guess love is not all butterflies and rainbows. It can be an intensely beautiful thing. And it can also be that thing that comes back to haunt you. When you realize you love someone, you just know it.

It doesn’t come just as a feeling. But as a compilation of things that you do for that special someone. Things that you do that will make you ask yourself, “why am I behaving like a retard”.

If you’ve never been in love, it’s easy for you to see someone who the “love bug” has bitten as stupid. But when you eventually come into that space yourself, you see how intense love can be. You see how unlike yourself it makes you feel. And you get to see yourself doing things you didn’t think you would ever do for another person.

You see sacrifice and you see real joy. It’s why there’s a popular quote that says –

“Don’t judge a situation you’ve never been in”

Mitchell Perry

Don’t mock what you’ve never experienced. If you’ve never been poor, don’t judge the less privileged for the choices they make. Especially what they do to earn money. Except of course it has to do with fraud or making money through dishonest means.

Because as far as I’m concerned, fraud is not a valid choice for anyone.

What do you think of this ? And what do you think about we humans being little hypocrites sometimes. Let’s chat in the comments. I would love to hear from you.
