My Review
The backward reading trajectory of the story was slightly draining. And although that’s how I feel about most books that follow this line of writing, this one in particular had no flow. Because I kept getting confused with the characters. And sometimes had to reread a previous chapter to understand the next chapter.
But as you continue leafing through page after page, you start getting the drift of the story. And get to come to a place of understanding about each of the various characters. Getting more insights as you peel off their life layer by layer.
The story line is centered around conception, foetus abortion, the choices we make around these topics and the roles they play in our lives.
Quite sensitive topics I know. But the author did a good one by making it totally unbiased. Giving you the chance to view things from the two sides. The Pro life viewpoint and the Pro choice viewpoint.
For me, the ending chapters of the book and the author’s note at the tail end gave the whole story more clarity. And made the theme clearer for me. All in all, you’re going to need a lot of patience to read this. And though, I almost quit at the beginning, I’m glad I read till the end.
